Haloumi (Cyprus)

Homemade haloumi Source: SBS Food
A common veggie burger addition, Haloumi is an unripened brined cheese, which is why it has such salty flavor. Traditionally, it’s made from goat and sheep’s milk, though modern recipes use cows milk, too. Haloumi can be served on its own, fried or grilled, and seasoned to taste. It’s also super easy to make.
